Scientific diving in biology, ecology, history and marine archaeology

The Ocean Institute is working to set up a scientific diving training in an interdisciplinary framework.

In Roscoff and Dinard, over a period of 11 days, the objective is to train students of the Alliance Sorbonne University (L3, M1 and M2) and professionals in scientific diving.

The training leads to the Hyperbaric Aptitude Certificate, Mention B, class 1, which is mandatory to be able to dive in a professional environment. In addition, students are trained in underwater scientific techniques used for studies in marine ecology or underwater archaeology.
