Bachelor's degree

Earth, environment and climate sciences

It is supported by more than 100 research professors. This degree can be combined with courses in biology, chemistry, computer science, mechanics or physics to create a dual degree program, or with a minor or major in earth science:

- physical oceanography and biogeochemistry (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- seismic imaging at sea (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- ocean-atmosphere interactions, climate (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- geodynamics of sedimentary basins (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- Oceanic and atmospheric biogeochemistry (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- sea internship (Villefranche-sur-Mer campus)

Life Sciences

It is supported by more than 200 research professors and the three marine stations of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Roscoff and Villefranche-sur-Mer. This degree can be combined with courses in chemistry, computer science or geosciences to create a dual degree program, or with a minor or major in life sciences. It deals in particular with :

- ecology and biology of marine organisms (Banyuls-sur-Mer campus)
- the diversity of marine interactions (Banyuls-sur-Mer campus)
- responses of microorganisms to global changes (Banyuls-sur-Mer campus)
- the emergence of biological models (Banyuls-sur-Mer campus)
- marine biodiversity and initiation to experimentation in ecology (Roscoff campus)
- introduction to oceanography (Villefranche-sur-Mer campus)
- biology of marine organisms (Villefranche-sur-Mer campus)
- adaptation of marine organisms (Villefranche-sur-Mer campus)
- exploration of pelagic ecosystems (Villefranche-sur-Mer campus)
- marine ecology (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)
- adaptations to the natural environment (Pierre and Marie Curie campus)

This is a sandwich course based on the Roscoff marine station in partnership with the Saint-Pol-de-Léon higher education institute. It deals in particular with :

- the exploitation and development of marine resources
- bio-resources and products of interest of marine origin
- equipment and techniques related to marine biotechnology
- application and innovation sectors
- management and quality
- business management
- personnel management
- scientific tools

History

It includes a teaching unit on archaeology and environments which deals in particular with the archaeology of lakes and rivers.

- France, a military and maritime power, from Richelieu to Rochambeau
- France, military and maritime power, from 1815 to the present
- History of Brazil 1500-1946
- History of the environment

Geography

  • This degree provides the skills needed to analyze spatial processes, territorial planning and development issues, the environment, and heritage management.
  • It provides training in the methods and techniques of geographic information (cartography, remote sensing, geographic information systems, etc.), territorial diagnosis and, more generally, research tools and assistance in territorial detection.
